Heather Ireland was born on April 15th, 1985 in the swamps of Louisiana and raised amongst the peaches and pines in south Georgia. This cajun peach began singing at the ripe young age of 3, writing at 12 and playing guitar at 14. She started out with her own karaoke setup, traveling around to various parts of south Georgia/north Florida, sharing her talents with anyone and everyone she could. In 2009, she traveled to Nashville, TN where Tony Mantor produced her a 4-song EP of her original songs and she left music city with a management and publishing contract in hand.
Once back in south Georgia, Ireland formed a country/southern rock band, Heather Ireland & Poplar Road and began hitting the local music scene hard. She has opened for acts such as LoCash Cowboys, Shane Owens and Girlz Girlz Girlz. She was also a semi finalist for Georgia's Top Female Country Artist for 2011 and has been voted as November 2011's Artist of the Month via Georgia-Country.com. Ireland prides herself in covering songs that most artists/bands wouldn't even attempt to cover and writing songs that her fans can easily identify with. She is nothing less than explosive and addictive and her band consists of ultra talented and seasoned musicians who deliver every single time. Heather Ireland & Poplar Road is sure to be a name rolling off of tongues of millions in the near future.
